You’ll join Anthropic’s Platform organisation — the team that builds the foundational primitives accelerating product development across the company, and owns infrastructure and systems that teams depend on to ship reliably at scale, both internally and for hundreds of thousands of external global users and companies.
You’ll independently scope complex, multi-month projects, drive cross-org alignment through ambiguous problem spaces, and make architectural decisions that shape how Anthropic builds and scales its products. You’ll partner directly with research to productise cutting-edge capabilities, with lasting impact on the platform that hundreds of thousands of companies and engineers depend on every day.

- Make architectural decisions that shape how Anthropic builds and scales its products across hundreds of thousands of users
- Drive cross-org alignment through ambiguous problem spaces, working with influence rather than authority
- Partner directly with research teams to productise cutting-edge AI capabilities
- Establish engineering standards, component architectures, and development best practices across the Platform org
- Mentor and invest in the growth of senior and mid-level engineers, raising the bar across the organisation
- Contribute to high-impact platform decisions that shape the infrastructure hundreds of thousands of external companies and internal engineers depend on
- 8–10+ years of practical full-stack engineering experience, with 2+ years operating at Staff or equivalent technical leadership level
- Led the design and delivery of complex, consumer or B2B user-facing products across the full stack
- Technical expertise in modern frontend and backend development — demonstrated depth in key languages and frameworks (React, TypeScript)
- Product-focused approach: building solutions that are robust, scalable, and easy to use
- Experience in early-stage or fast-moving, rapidly evolving environments; ideally built products from 0 to 1
- Track record of driving cross-team and cross-org alignment to get impactful work shipped
- Experience establishing engineering standards, component architectures, and development best practices
- Thrives in fast-paced environments and can navigate ambiguity to deliver high-quality products
- Served as a technical lead or architect for a foundational platform system, owning both technical vision and execution end-to-end
- Experience designing or scaling billing, payments, or financial infrastructure at high transaction volumes
- Deep familiarity with containerisation, secure execution environments, or infrastructure where security and capability coexist
- Built identity and access management systems (authentication, authorisation, SSO, RBAC) at enterprise scale
- Experience with ML/AI systems, LLM inference, model serving pipelines, or supporting infrastructure
- Experience with multi-cloud deployments, cross-region architectures, or cloud-agnostic tooling
- Experience designing and reviewing APIs with a focus on developer experience, consistency, and reliability
